anti-resume.com ("anti-resume", "we") is run by Farrell Holdings LLC. This policy explains what we collect, why, who helps us run the site, and what you can do about it. Questions: hello@anti-resume.com.
The short version
- Your page is public. That's the point of it. Everything else (your email, your messages, your private notes) is not.
- We don't sell your data, show ads, or use tracking or analytics tools.
- We collect what the site needs to work, and keep it until you delete your account.
What we collect
Your account. Your email address and the name you give us. If you sign in with Google, Google tells us your name, email address and profile photo; we use the name to pre-fill your page and don't show the photo anywhere.
Your page, which is public. Everything you put on it: your name, tagline, city, story, projects, notes, links, skills, booking link and how-you-work notes. Pages are visible to anyone as soon as you create them, and search engines may index them once a person has reviewed them.
Connections. Vouches you give and receive, including the organization, years and description you write; these appear on both people's pages once confirmed. "Met in person" connections made with QR codes or at gatherings. Gatherings you host or RSVP to.
Where to find you. If you share find-me hours, the general area is public; the exact place is shown only to the connection types you choose.
Messages and notes. Messages between members are stored so they can be delivered and read. Margin notes are private to the project's author unless the writer allows publishing and the author publishes them. We don't read messages or notes, except when one is reported to us or we're required by law.
Invites. When you vouch for someone who isn't a member yet, we store their email address and your vouch so we can send them an invite.
Reports. If you report a page, item or note, we store the report and, if you're signed in, that it came from you.
Technical information. When you sign in, we record the IP address and browser type used for that session, kept with the session. To stop spam and abuse, we briefly count requests by IP address; those counts aren't stored with your account. Our hosting provider keeps short-lived request logs (pages visited, IP address, browser type) for a few days so we can find and fix errors.
Cookies
We use only the cookies the site needs to work. There are no advertising or analytics cookies.
- Sign-in session: keeps you signed in for up to 30 days, renewed while you use the site.
- ar_visitor: set only if you scan someone's QR code before you have an account, so we can attach that meeting to your account if you join within 7 days.
- Cloudflare Turnstile: the bot check on sign-in forms may set its own cookies to tell people from bots.
Who helps us run the site
These companies process data for us, only to provide their service:
| Company | What for | What they see |
|---|---|---|
| Cloudflare | Hosting, database (stored in western North America), the Turnstile bot check, security | Everything the site stores; your IP address and browser details |
| Mailtrap | Sending email: sign-in links, invites, message notifications | Your email address and the email's contents |
| Sign in with Google, if you choose it; fonts on some page styles | Sign-in: that you're signing in to anti-resume. Fonts: your IP address when a page loads them |
How long we keep it
- Your account and page: until you delete them, or we remove them under our terms.
- When an account is deleted: we delete the page, its items, connections, messages, notes, invites and sessions. We keep the email address and the reason in our internal moderation log, so we can handle repeat abuse. Database backups keep deleted data for up to 30 days before it's gone. The page name stays reserved for 12 months so nobody can impersonate you.
- Sign-in links: expire after 30 minutes and work only once.
Your choices and rights
- See and correct: your page and most account details can be edited from your dashboard.
- Delete: delete your account from the Account tab of your dashboard, or email us from your account's address.
- Get a copy: email us and we'll send you your data.
- Messages: you can stop members from messaging you in your page settings.
- Depending on where you live (for example California, the EU or the UK), you may have further rights, including to object to processing or to complain to a regulator. Email us and we'll respond within 30 days.
Age
anti-resume is for adults. You must be 18 or older to create an account. If we learn an account belongs to someone under 18, we'll delete it.
Security
Data travels over HTTPS. Stored data can be reached only through our hosting account and by named staff, through a separate admin site that requires its own sign-in. We don't store passwords at all.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll say so on the site and, for big changes, email members first.
